A Tribute to My Mother

My mom, Sang Rae CHOI was born on April 1, 1915 to a Korean immigrant family in Nagoya.  She lived for more than 100 years before being called home by God on December 4, 2016.   Her life took her from Nagoya, Japan to Kwang Ju, Korea and finally to Gardena, California in the USA.    To me, she was a solid rock, tireless teacher and persevering supporter and I can confess honestly that it was an honor and blessing to be her daughter.    We have many values and goals in life.   To my mom, one thing and one thing only was at the top of the heap.   Her identity superseded all other priorities in life.    나는 하나님의딸! I am a daughter of God!  That was the secret to her victorious life, her life’s motto and her confession of faith, all rolled into one.  Proverbs 31:28 says of the woman of  “Her children rise up and call her blessed.”     As her one and only one daughter, I rise up and bless her.   She lived a full life and I look forward to the completion of her favorite hymn.  “In the
